Scotland: National Rural NetworkLovers of music and the hills are invited to the Doonhame Hairth at Knockengorroch from 16-20 September. Running for a full five days, this established end of season grassroots gathering is set to exceed all expectations of friendliness and great music, both programmed and impromptu, in a much loved area of the Southern Uplands in Scotland.
The line-up promises some great favourites, with the mighty Peatbog Faeries, Tiger Style, internationally renowned bhangra crew from Glasgow and Latin Dub Sound System, part sound system, part South American orchestra. Celtic punk festival veterans the Tofu Love Frogs will join the throng, and Glasgow's underground club Soundhaus are hosting the dance tent, featuring DJ Hobbes (Trouble) and Mungo's Hi Fi Sound System amongst many others.
The festival will also include an extended Cabaret Stage, open mic and Balkan, Celtic, Cajun, bluegrass and other themed sessions, both in the bar and in the faithfully recreated Celtic Longhouse, which acts as a central venue at the festival.
