Regional Rural Network events - dates for your diary - updated

Councillor addressing delegates at Rural Aberdeenshire Regional Event

As part of the Scottish National Rural Network, a series of 20 regional events are taking place throughout the country. The first event took place in Rural Aberdeenshire in November and was a great success with over 60 people coming together for a day of information sessions and networking.

Each event will include an update on rural funding streams, LEADER and Rural Priorities, as well as an update on the Scottish National Rural Network. There will be the chance to hear about a project from the local area, as well as one from another region of Scotland. There will also be a discussion session aimed at helping communities to explore what has worked well in the past and what lessons can be learned to springboard into future successes.

Beverley Maclean, Scottish National Rural Network Regional Coordinator said, "We're delighted to publish details of the remaining 19 regional events. The events will be a great chance to hear about rural funding opportunities, find out how other projects have gone about things and network with people in your area. We're looking forward to meeting lots of you at these events and finding out what's happening in your communities.

"And if you can't make the events then look out for event reports, photos and videos from the days coming to the Rural Network website."
