This month's Featured Funder is Awards for All. It gives grants of between £500 and £10,000 for people to take part in art, sport and community activities, and projects that promote education, the environment and health in the local community. The application form is fairly straightforward and you'll get a decision within six weeks.
Children in Need is offering small grants of up to £10,000 a year for three years for third sector organisations working with children and young people. It is the first time the organisation has run a UK-wide small grants programme, and follows a pilot in Scotland.
The E.ON Sustainable Energy Fund supports the development of efficient and sustainable energy measures for community organisations. It offers grants of up to £20,000 to implement sustainable energy projects in buildings.
Twelve projects in the North East are kicking off the New Year with a funding boost from Rural Aberdeenshire LEADER. Around £310,000 has been awarded to projects ranging from youth employment and environmental initiatives to village hall developments and building restoration works.

The Energy Saving Scotland home renewables scheme offers grants of 30 percent, up to £4,000, for home owners who wish to install renewable energy technology.
Comic Relief have announced that their UK grants programme is now open for applications. Applications are invited from the voluntary and community sector throughout the UK. They provide both capital and revenue funding for a wide of projects.
Over 1000 projects were approved in the November RPAC round. Around £96.6 million will fund 1131 projects across the country including environmental, forestry and tourism projects. £34.6 million of this new funding will go to farms and rural businesses to help improve their competitiveness.
From 1st January 2010, LEADER Local Action Groups have the facility to award up to 90 percent of eligible project costs instead of the 50 percent intervention rate.
This increase in intervention rate will be for a trial period of one year and applies to new projects awarded grant support from 1st January 2010. To find out about the policies applying in your local area, contact your LEADER Local Action Group.
