Book now for first UK National Rural Network conference

Booking is now open for the first UK National Rural Network conference, which takes place in Belfast on 10th and 11th March 2010. The main purpose of the conference is to provide an opportunity for the four regions of the UK to come together to share ideas, experiences, knowledge and practices of delivering and implementing Rural Development Programmes.

The conference will have a mix of plenary and workshop sessions. Speakers include Martin McDonald from the Rural Network for Northern Ireland and Dr Kate Braithwaite, Director of the Rural Programme, Carnegie UK Trust.

Workshop topics include, Farming as a Social Service, Villages for the Future and Can't See the Wood for the Trees. The Rural Network for Northern Ireland is hosting an optional day two afternoon programme which will include Study Visits and a Cross Border Cooperation Project Networking Workshop.
