The event will consist of workshops, presentations and networking opportunities on fundraising, planning and project management, promotion, innovative approaches to improving access and working in partnership.

In addition, Local People: Local Paths will introduce:

  • The 2 National Path Demonstration Sites (at Battleby and Oatridge College), which show a wide variety of path construction and management techniques
  • The Path Benefits Toolkit (for evaluating the impacts of local paths)
  • The launch of a year long programme of technical training aimed at community groups (including path design, construction and maintenance).
