Semi-subsistence farming in the EU: Current situation and future prospects

 

This three day seminar has a mix of presentations, workshops and field visits. Speakers include Loretta Dormal Marino, Deputy Director General, DG AGRI, European Commission, Sophia Davidova, Reader in European Agricultural Policy, University of Kent, Antonis Constantinou, Director, DG AGRI, European Commission.

Workshops topics are:

  • Semi-subsistence farming concepts and key issues
  • Wider implications of semi-subsistence farming for society and the environment
  • Pathways for semi-subsistence farming - integration into the food chain, diversification
  • Reaching and supporting semi-subsistence farms
