Rural Outreach Counsellor for young people

Managed by West Lothian Council's Children and Families team

This project aims to provide a young person's counselling service (in the field of mental health) within local communities. Counselling is not a statutory service. However, providing such a service through the Rural Outreach Counsellor project would increase availability to young people who may not have access to transport.
The Counsellor will provide a professional counselling service to children and young people (aged 12-20) who live in the West Lothian area. They will be expected to offer targeted group work to young people and to offer some training to staff and volunteers that work with young people.
