Kilmaho farms milking parlour

Project approved in the April 2010 RPAC round

Young Farmers James and Linda Maclean of Kilmaho farms, Kintyre have been awarded £72,000 towards the installation of a new 16x16 herring bone milking parlour and shed to house the parlour for their 100 Holstein Friesians. The existing parlour was installed in 1977 and is now out of date and very labour intensive. The new parlour will streamline the milking operation and save time to enable a one man operation and save several hours of work a day.
