Rural Network Project Visits 2011 - Community Transport

Thursday 21st JulyProject Visit
Badenoch & Strathspey Community Transport Company, Aviemore.

The Scottish National Rural Network will soon be heading to Aviemore for the fifth and final event in our current series of project visits taking place around rural Scotland. This time the theme is community transport and will be hosted by winners of the 2010 Scottish Countryside Alliance Best Rural Enterprise Award, Badenoch & Strathspey Community Transport Company (BSCTC).

Rural Network regional coordinator Matt Tyrer said "We've already had four hugely successful project visits taking place around the country, and with community transport playing such an important role right across rural Scotland we are delighted that the team in Aviemore are working with us on this fifth visit. It will be a great opportunity for people involved in community transport to come together and see what is happening in Badenoch and Strathspey, as well as to discuss issues, experiences and ideas with each other in what promises to be another great knowledge sharing trip."

To find out more about BSCTC why not visit our handy project host summary page. You can also find links to reports, photos and short films from the four project visits that have already taken place on our regional events page.
