Rural Cultural Regeneration

Hello,
I am a second year masters student of Town and Country Planning through distance learning. I am currently tasked with the following assignment and would welcome any advice/suggestions you may have.

Cultural Regeneration can be considered as a rural phenomenon. Critically evaluate using examples.

I am based in Inverness and have chosen to study the Western Isles as my example re. Gaelic, crofting. I have already done alot of reading around the subject area but the majority of writing seems to be about urban regeneration.

Any ideas.

Regards,
Marion
