Scotland: National Rural Network
It's a major initiative supported by the Scottish Government to connect rural Scotland in all its diversity to promote economic and community development. At a national level, the Network is promoted by the Scottish Rural Gathering, a national event, and the Scotland National Rural Network website. At a regional level, there is a series of regional events intended to promote and develop links and networks across the different individuals, businesses, organisations, communities and sectors in each region of rural Scotland.
The opportunity to find out the latest news about rural development and funding opportunities, to hear about
some excellent projects and businesses and to connect with a wide range of other people who live and work in your region and elsewhere.
Year One of the Scottish National Rural Network events programme kicked off in Rural Aberdeenshire in November 2009. In total, 20 events were delivered throughout the country with the final local gathering for this year taking place in Kirkwall, Orkney on 28th May 2010.
You can get information, event reports, photos and presentations from all of the 20 events in our Rural Network Regional Events Archive.
