The Scottish National Rural Network regional event in Orkney took place on 28th May 2010 at the St Magnus Centre in Kirkwall.
The Scottish Rural Gathering taking place on Friday 25th September at Perth Racecourse looks set to be the most important event of the year for rural Scotland, with two Scottish Government Ministers and around 280 delegates from across country attending. The event is now full, with attendees representing a range of rural interests from farming to housing.
The Scottish Government have announced a major rural networking event that will bring people together to drive forward a bright future for rural Scotland. The Rural Gathering will take place in Perth on 25th September 2009. The event will be an excellent opportunity for stakeholders from across rural Scotland to get together to share good ideas and practices.

Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and the Environment Richard Lochhead visited the Alness Heritage Centre today to launch the new Scotland National Rural Network website. The Scotland National Rural Network website aims to connect rural Scotland in all its diversity to promote economic growth and community development.
As part of the launch, Mr Lochhead heard from members of the Alness Initiative and visited their allotment project and Heritage Centre. You can watch a video from the launch below.
