Village SOS is an exciting new initiative from the Big Lottery Fund (BIG) and the BBC. It is searching for six UK villages with ideas for successful enterprises that will help revive their communities, create new jobs and improve the quality of life of local people. The final six projects will share up to £3 million. They aim to make three awards in England and one each in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Organisation: Association of East Lothian Community Councils
Area: East Lothian
The grant scheme will allow projects in East Lothian to draw down LEADER funding for eligible project costs less than £1,000, which are not eligible to apply for the ‘main’ LEADER grant.
