Rural Aberdeenshire event: tips for getting new people involved in projects

How do you get new people involved in projects, on boards and on committees? Do you have any top tips for energising people and getting them involved? It's a common issue for groups, so if you've got any experience or ideas to share then please add a comment to this forum.

ask people

I find the best way to get people involved is to ask them directly. Decide what skills you need and look around your community for people with those skills. Then go and ask them! You need to be clear what you expect of them and be honest about the time that will be involved.
