Scotland: National Rural NetworkRural Dumfries & Galloway LEADER Programme want to hear from anyone who may be interested in sitting on the Local Action Group (LAG). The rural development funding programme, based in New Abbey is looking to recruit new members to represent a broad variety of local knowledge and expertise from across Dumfries & Galloway.
The LAG is responsible for promoting the programme across the region and meet on a quarterly basis to consider the grant applications received from community groups and organisations. Rural Dumfries & Galloway LEADER are seeking anyone who has an interest and knowledge of rural issues in the region and who would be interested in representing any of the following positions: Regional Third Sector Representative, Farming Community, Women, Multicultural Community, Police, Art/Culture, Health, Eco Green, Housing, Business, Tourism, Annandale & Eskdale and Wigtownshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in rural development on a local and regional level, contributing towards what is already proven to be a successful mechanism for economic, social and environmental investment into the region.
