A new website with a focus on Scottish Fungi has been launched, providing information for both the beginner and the experienced mycologist.

The idea for the Scottish Fungi website came out of a meeting at the Scottish Fungus Conservation Forum last year. The site has been created jointly by a number of mycologists from across Scotland, notably Dave Genney, Liz Holden, Nev Kilkenny, Dick Peebles and Roy Watling.

There is a wealth of information on the website, including sections on collecting and identifying fungi for eating, recipes and places to eat fungi. There is also an education section for teachers, and a conservation section that will be of interest to land managers.
