Two issues are never out of the news of late - the credit crunch, and climate change.  I am writing to you to help us take the Highlands and Islands through the current economic problems while making our region a cleaner, greener place to live.

Highlands and Islands Enterprise is looking at how renewable energy can be used across the north of Scotland to generate not only power, but jobs and prosperity too. Renewable energy isn't just about windfarms - hydro-electricity, and power from the sea both come into the equation, too and, believe it or not, solar power can work in the Highlands!

 To this end, we are seeking volunteers of all ages to take part in focus groups in Inverness next week. You don't need to be a renewable energy expert - we just want to hear your views.

The focus group will take place in Inverness next Wednesday 27^th May from 6 - 7:30pm at Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Cowan House, Inverness Retail and Business Park. Refreshments will be available.
