His excellent articles about community development in his area go beyond the jargon, and have proved very popular.
- Ask an Expert - In Ask an Expert, you can submit your questions for a rural expert. In this archive, you will find answers from all our experts so far.
- Blog on the Edge - Julia Whitaker wrote the exceedingly popular 'Blog on the Edge' from December 2005 to November 2006.
- Funding Latest - Keep up to date with all the latest funding news with this regular feature, which is not surprisingly, one of your favourites.
- Gateway Guides - The Gateway Guides aim to give you a brief introduction to some oft-used terms, like sustainable development.
- Getting to Know You - In this feature, Rural Gateway users tells us a bit about themselves and the issues in their part of rural Scotland.
- Great Rural Debate - In Great Rural Debate two contributors give their view on a rural issue. You have the chance to respond by adding your comments to the article and voting in a poll.
- International Rural Spotlight - In this feature we give an international perspective on rural issues, focus on international projects, and bring you examples of good practice and expertise from around the world.
- Notes from the Farm - Farmer Michael Johnston gives us a personal account of rural issues and farming life in his Notes from the Farm.
- Off the Shelf - Every month, we highlight some of the recent additions to our documents library, everything from research findings to community newsletters.
- Patrick Vickery's Ramblings and Blethers - Patrick Vickery's popular Rural Ramblings, Rural Blethers and Garden Blethers will keep you amused with their madcap rural goings-on!
