Reaction

Tricia Dow, Director of postal watchdog Postwatch Scotland told the Rural Gateway:

"Many thanks to everyone who has taken part in this poll. It is very important to Postwatch Scotland to know how often people use rural post offices and the fact that so many people have responded, shows how important they are to rural Scotland.
"Using a post office regularly is the best way of ensuring its survival and your figures show that many rural residents and businesses do just that. It will be interesting to see how these figures change over time."
