Announcement - Community of the Year results

This year's Community of the Year is Cornton Community Council and Cornton Action Planning Partnership in Stirling. However, rural communities were successful in the category awards:
Business Award
- Cromarty and District Community Council
- Highly commended: Glenlivet and Inveravon Community Association
Environment Award
- Bowden Village Committee
- Highly commended: Isle of Gigha Heritage Trust
Older people
- Glenlivet and Inveravon Community Association
- Highly commended: Trossachs Community Council
Community Life
- Alness Mothers Against Drugs
- Highly commended: Isle of Gigha Heritage Trust
Community Enhancement through the Internet Winner
Next year the awards are to include new categories, which the organisers hope will appeal to more Scottish communities.
