Sports and leisure organisations wanted for research project

Image of badminton rackets on sports centre floor Request for information from Atlantis Leisure

Having concluded a critical analysis of Atlantis Leisure we are now seeking to carry out comparative research of other community-led organisations providing sport and leisure services and facilities in rural communities throughout the UK and Ireland.

It should not be Council operated but may have been Council built and is now community operated. If you are aware of any organisations that may be of interest to our research, then please forward any contact details.

Alternatively if you can suggest a contact or organisation who may have this information we would be grateful for their contact details.

Please contact Roy Clunie roy@cg-ltd.co.uk or Hugh McLean hugh.mclean1@btinternet.com.

The Rural Action Research Programme has been designed to demonstrate cost effective, community-led solutions to the challenges facing rural areas. Developing models of community-led service provision in rural areas is one of six themes. You can find more information on the Carnegie UK Trust website.

For more information on Atlantis Leisure please visit the website.

Atlantis Leisure, in Oban, is a research partner in the Community-led Service Provision strand of the Carnegie Rural Action Research Programme.
