Making a splash - October photo competition winner
Ewen Munro has won our October photo competition prize with this great shot called 'Sailing! With a smile'. To get a better view of the winning photo, click on it and you will be taken to a larger version.
Ewen is a youth worker with the Hope 2 Oban project, and this photo was taken at the Wacky, Wet and Dry Day Hope 2 Oban hosted in partnership with outdoor education providers Stramash.
On the day, 18 young people from the area got the chance to try their hand at sea kayaking, sailing, climbing and abseiling. It certainly looks like it was a fun day out!
Norette Ferns, Rural Gateway editor said, "We felt this photo captured a moment perfectly and has a very strong composition. Perhaps best of all, the shot captures the young sailor's enjoyment and the atmosphere of the event. 'Sailing! With a smile' certainly put a smile on my face!
"Hope 2 Oban recently took part in our Your Project regular feature, so you can read more about the project and its work in their article."
Only two months left
The Rural Gateway photo competition is running throughout 2007, and we have already chosen 10 of our 12 monthly winners.
