Have your say on the future of housing

The Scottish Government recently set out their plans for the future of housing in Scotland, and they want to know what you think. Firm Foundations - the Future of Housing in Scotland is a discussion paper which sets out the government's vision for the future of housing and their plans to make the vision a reality.

You can respond to this discussion paper until 25th January 2008, and you will find details of how to do so in the document. The government want to know your views on the plans set out, and there are some specific questions they are interested in, which can be found in the appendices.

Don't forget to take part in our first Great Rural Debate which asks if restrictive planning is the main cause of a lack of affordable housing in rural Scotland. We've had some great participation so far, with issues such as a lack of affordable accommodation to rent and second homes raised.
