Highland post office proposed closures
The proposed changes to the post office network in the Highlands of Scotland have been released for consultation. The proposed changes include the closure of 18 branches. There are plans for a further 11 branches to be replaced by outreach services. The post office network is changing, with up to 2,500 post offices throughout the UK set for closure. A series of local consultations are now taking place.
You can have your say on the plans for the Highland area, and plans for your local branch, by taking part in the local consultation. You can respond to the Area Plan Proposal for the Highlands of Scotland from 8th January 2008 to 18th February 2008. Please note this area plan also includes the Isle of Skye. You will find the plan in the Rural Gateway documents library.
