Do you need a Conservation Blitz?

Image of the Fife Air Cadets Conservation group Comrie WoodlandDo you have a garden space, park area or another ‘wild space’ area that could do with a clean up? Do you need some help with bridge or footpath construction? Maybe you could do with some extra help for tree planting?

Then why not bid for a Conservation Blitz from the Fife Air Cadets? The group are offering their conservation services as a fundraiser for the John Muir Award, to mark its 10th birthday. A minibus, or two, of enthusiastic volunteers, including staff, from the Fife Air Cadets Conservation Group could make a real difference to your wild area.

Recently the group have planted over 7,000 trees and extracted over 40 tonnes of timber as part of  managing a local woodland. Two full day projects at Cardenden Woodland saw group volunteers construct two bridges and resurface extended lengths of footpath. You can find out more about conservation projects tackled on the Fife Air Cadets Conservation Group website.

So, if you have a wild space, within a two-hour drive of Fife, and would like to benefit from the skill and enthusiasm of the Fife Air Cadets why not make a bid. All you need to do is email eastscotland@johnmuiraward.org or call Rebecca on 0845 458 2910 with your bid (reserve price of £100) by Monday 3rd March 2008.
