This is just one of the exciting developments coming to the Rural
Gateway in 2007. We have already launched our first ever photo
competition, more details below. Watch this space for more new
features.
PHOTO COMPETITION
The Rural Gateway photo competition has been launched, so submit your
photos on the theme 'Living in rural Scotland' now! All you have to
do is send your images electronically to mailto:editor@ruralgateway.org.uk
with the title of your photo, your name and contact details. If you
have snaps of a rural event or your friends and family enjoying a rural
activity then send them in. We've had some great entries so far -
thanks to all who have submitted. Look out for our first monthly winner
and gallery at the end of the month.

POLL
Something of a Rural Gateway tradition, our current poll asks: what
is the biggest issue facing rural Scotland today? Last year,
windfarms were top of the poll, but this year the results so far are
much closer with housing currently in the lead. Don't agree? Vote
now.

RURAL SERVICES CONFERENCE
Also on the site you will find details of the Rural Services
Conference 2007. The event heads to the Western Isles this year
and promises to be fun, rewarding and affordable. For more information
about the conference including details of the draft programme
and how to book
See http://www.ruralgateway.org.uk/item/1559
EVENTS
We have a busy events section at the moment, so take a look to make
sure you're not missing anything. Recently added events include the
Fife Energy Fair and a conference for landbased industries called
'Skills, sustainability and rural development'.
See http://www.ruralgateway.org.uk/information/events.html
If you have an event you would like to promote through the Rural
Gateway please send details to editor@ruralgateway.org.uk. No event
is too big or small.
