Catch up with the latest news from the Rural Community Gateway

EDITOR'S NOTE
If you are going to the Rural Services Conference in Stornoway next
week, you may well see me there. I will be heading over to take an
exhibition stand and am very much looking forward to meeting Rural
Gateway users in person. So, if you see me, please
come and have a chat. It is always interesting to hear from those who
use the site and I would welcome any comments or suggestions. For
those of you who are not venturing to Stornoway please feel free
to email me with your comments.

APOLOGIES
The Community Health Exchange (CHEX) event at Fairways House in
Inverness will take place on 2nd March 2007, not 7th March 2007
as originally advertised on the Rural Gateway. Apologies for any inconvenience
caused.
PHOTO COMPETITION
The competition is really gathering momentum with some great photos
submitted during February. Austin Taylor has clinched the February prize
with 'Light Up', taken at the Up Helly-Aa festival in Lerwick. His photo
will go on to the online poll at the end of the year to decide the
Rural Gateway Photo of the Year 2007. A gallery of the best February
entries will be on the site soon.

If you have a photo on the theme 'Living in rural Scotland' send it
to mailto:editor@ruralgateway.org.uk with the title of the photo.
POLL
Our latest poll asks what you think about the issue of pay as you go
road tax. Is charging by the mile the only way to cut road use?
Should it only be introduced in congested areas? Vote now! To read
more about pay as you go road tax go to our article 'New poll asks
what you think about pay as you go road tax'. Add your comments to the
article to give us your views.
