RURAL UPDATE: ISSUE 103
6 September 2007
Catch up with the latest news from the Rural Community Gateway
http://www.ruralgateway.org.uk/

EDITOR'S NOTE
Thanks to everyone who has already completed the Rural Gateway user
survey. We've had some really constructive comments and useful
suggestions. We'd be grateful if you could take a few minutes to
complete our survey if you haven't done so already. We would like to
know a bit more about how you use the Gateway to help with the
future development of the site. And as a small incentive a 15 pounds Amazon
voucher will go to a randomly selected participant. Just fill in your
email address on the survey to be included in the draw.
To take the survey go to:

The Rural Gateway Team will be out and about next week. I will be
attending the European Geopark Network Conference in Ullapool, while
Sandra Hogg, our resident funding expert, will be giving a
presentation at the Initiative at the Edge conference in Barra. Sandra
and I will also be at the Borders Voluntary Sector Conference
at the end of the month. We hope to meet some of you at these events!

OFF THE SHELF
In our second Off the Shelf we highlighted new additions to our
documents library for August. These included Reporting on 100 days:
Moving Scotland Forward which looks at the first 100 days of the new
Scottish government. An impact assessment of voluntary modulation and
farming income was also highlighted and has been commented on a
couple of times already. We'd like to know what you think of these
documents, so please feel free to add your comments in the documents
library.

Gateway, or if your organisation has published a document of interest
to rural Scotland, let us know by emailing mailto:editor@ruralgateway.org.uk.

WEB OF MONTH
Our web of the month for September is the Rural Housing Service
website. The Rural Housing Service provides a range of services to
