100 BEST THINGS FOLLOW UP
Fiona Stewart from NHS Education has written a special report for the
Rural Gateway on the Remote and Rural Care e-Library, which was
nominated as one of the 100 Best things in rural Scotland by Rural
Gateway users. You can read more about this great online resource in
'Sharing knowledge as an act of care in NHS Scotland.'

RURAL ANSWERS
Issie Campbell is currently looking for people to fill out a short
online questionnaire for a Sustainable Rural Development Research
project she is carrying out for her degree. Issie has already added a
comment to let us know she has had quite a few responses from Rural
Gateway users. The questionnaire only takes about five minutes to
complete.

Also, if you have any knowledge or experience to share about slowing
traffic through villages, please add a comment to Neil Paterson's
posting about this issue.

OFF THE SHELF
In Off the Shelf we highlight some recent additions to our documents
library. The November edition highlighted the good practice guide
'Making a Difference in Rural Scotland' from Dumfries and Galloway
LEADER+, the Scottish Consumer Council's 'Rural Advocacy in Scotland'
report and the Bog Standard, the Boat of Garten community newspaper.

EVENTS
Recently added events include the Rural Housing Service's annual
conference, which this year will have the theme of affordable
housing. Don't forget to send us details of your event so we can add
it to our calendar. Just email full details, including contact
telephone number and email address, to
mailto:editor@ruralgateway.org.uk.
