Focus Group on Rural Poverty
28-Apr-2008
The Scottish Government has published a discussion document called: "Taking Forward The Government Economic Strategy: A Discussion Paper on Tackling Poverty, Inequality and Deprivation in Scotland." They are consulting broadly on this document. I work for an independent organisation called The Poverty Alliance. We have agreed to run focus groups throughout Scotland with people with personal experience of poverty to enable these people to participate in the consultation. I would like to run some groups exploring the very specific issues of rural poverty. If you run a group or network that you think would be interested in a focus group, please get in touch. I am looking for groups of between 4 - 15 people, I am happy to travel to the area most convenient for your group and I have a budget to cover costs associated with the focus group. My phone number is 0141 353 0440.
