Burns' Corridor Network
30-Apr-2008
Can a Burns' Corridor Network be set up, so that towns and villages from Irvine to Gretna can organise a programme of events for next year, the year of Homecoming Scotland? We are all behind the Holy Fair, Burns an a' That, etc, but small villages must also get involved and advertise their planned events so that next year benefits everyone.

A calendar of events will mark Scotland's first ever 'Homecoming' in 2009. Organisers are encouraging Scots, those of Scottish descent, and those who just love Scotland to get involved.
Homecoming Scotland is a Scottish Government initiative managed by EventScotland in partnership with VisitScotland. You can find more information on their website:

Do any communities or groups who organised events for Highland 2007 (the year that Scotland celebrated Highland culture) have some advice or experience to share about working with others to make the most out of the event?
