Help needed to map Scotland's disability groups
A new research project commissioned by the Scottish Government aims to develop a clear picture or map of Scotland's disability organisations and groups. The work is being carried out by Quarriers and Lucy Johnston research, who are aiming to contact as many charities and voluntary organisations as possible, and they're looking for your help. David Williams of Quarriers said:
"We are hoping to reach all Scottish disability groups for them to provide their current contact details and up-to-date information about their work. This will only take a few minutes. The information they provide will be used by the Scottish Government to set up an easily accessible database/directory of disability organisations and groups.
"Later in the year we will be researching how disability groups engage with public authorities.
"Please tell other disability groups you know of in your area about this project. I know that some groups may be sent more than one request for information, but it is important that this project reaches as many groups in Scotland as possible, especially small and/or recently formed groups."
