Carrick Community Councils' Forum
Research and Publications Worker
Salary £17,800/18,500 per annum

Closing date 5pm on Thursday 24th July 2008

The Carrick Community Councils' Forum (CCCF) was established in 2006 to "advance culture, the arts and social wellbeing within the Carrick area". They have developed the 'Crucial Carrick' project to raise awareness of local heritage, including history, culture, geology, flora and fauna amongst local residents and to encourage more visitors to the area. The main output of this project will be a loose-leaf booklet produced to a high quality standard.

CCCF are currently looking for a Research and Publications Worker. The main function of this post is the implementation of the project in line with the grant application and the "approved purposes" of the grant received from Heritage Lottery Fund. A key part of the role is to communicate with, and learn from, members of the public who have knowledge about the heritage of Carrick.

A recent degree in a relevant subject is desirable but a candidate with practical experience in any of: social research; natural, cultural or physical heritage projects; marketing; publishing; community development, would be considered. Essential attributes include a full driving licence.
