Free SCVO membership for small voluntary organisations

Image of grass growing The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) has introduced a new form of membership which is available free to all voluntary organisations based in Scotland with an annual income of less than £25,000.

Grassroots members have access to all SCVO membership benefits, from free legal advice to a tailored insurance policy which meets the needs of the voluntary sector.

Additionally, becoming a Grassroots member enables small voluntary organisations in Scotland to subscribe to Third Force News, Scotland’s only voluntary sector newspaper, for a specially negotiated rate of £25 per year.

Previously smaller local voluntary organisations, who couldn’t afford membership lost out on the support and benefits of being an SCVO member.

All small voluntary organisations in rural Scotland can take advantage of Grassroots membership of SCVO. For example, newly formed charities, local issues groups or community associations can join. Many organisations throughout Scotland have already done so, allowing them to access the help they need to grow and achieve their goals. These include arts organisations in the Lothians, community groups in Glasgow and a voluntary outdoor activity centre in the Highlands.

For further information on the benefits of SCVO Grassroots membership please email membership@scvo.org.uk or call our freephone helpline on 0800 169 0022. For further information on SCVO visit the SCVO website.
