Driving Lessons for rural young folk?

28-Oct-2008
Oban calling.
I’m trying to discover if there are any schemes available providing free driving lessons for young folk from the Oban area and lacking in the means to do this for themselves. I am currently working as part of an inter-agency group of mentors involved in our local ‘Bright Futures’ programme, our Oban area version of MCMC (previously NEET), and this is one area that would help us progress with several of our mentees.
Any thoughts or info you have would be most gratefully received.

Hi,
May not be what you're looking for, but I've seen this kind of thing work well in rural areas in England - not sure if anything similar exists in Scotland...
